![]() During her massage schooling, Kristen spent the majority of her outreach hours in a hospice setting with palliative clients and their caregivers and hopes to continue this in her community. Kristen is also a Reiki Master and a yoga teacher. She has also completed a certification in Massage for Pregnancy, Indian Foot Massage and Indian Head Massage and is working towards a certification in Warm Bamboo Massage. Manage well the 3 important areas for your heart: This is why, we need to take good care of our heart. The heart communicates with the brain and body in four ways: neurological communication (nervous system), biochemical communication (hormones), biophysical communication (pulse wave), and energetic communication (electromagnetic fields). Not only does the heart respond to the brain, but the brain continuously responds to the heart. The heart-brain’s neural circuitry enables it to act independently of the cranial brain to learn, remember, make decisions and even feel and sense. The heart-brain is an intricate network of complex ganglia, neurotransmitters, proteins and support cells, the same as those of the brain in the head. This month we will focus on your heart brain. ![]() These are called cranial brain, intrinsic cardiac brain, and enteric brain respectively.
